Photo 25Hello,

Welcome to Blogivation, my name is Jordan M. Williams and I’m a 21 year old nursing major from California. For the most part, I have run just personal blogs, until February of this year. While out with some friends, I had an idea for two other blogs, so I decided to explore the possibilities. I currently run two blogs with a third in process.

I maintain a personal blog that I use to share my life travels, rants, and my overall love for this world’s cultures. I also use this website as a site that potential employers can come to connect with me and download my resume.

Blogivation is a blog that shares the stories of bloggers from all walks of life as they tell their story of what motivates them to start and continue to blog. I thought that there should be a place out there where bloggers could come, share their stories, and  network with other bloggers.

i love tea wallpaperTyros of Tea is a blog that is still under construction. This project centers around W. Murdock, WCS Minor Circuit, and myself. Its purpose is to review teas and experience the worldwide culture of tea.

So why do I blog? Well, where do I begin? My first experience in the blogging world was joining Xanga, a social networking site completely designed for blogging and social interaction.

My motivation for blogging has changed multiple times since I began. Originally it started because it was to way to vent about teachers and school life while I was in high school. When I went off to college for a semester, it was a way to keep friends and family informed about my life, as I went to a rather conservative Christian school. The now defunct “Nowhere In Particular” was a coping mechanism after a rather square time in my life. As for what motivates me to continue blogging, there are three reasons.

The first  motivation from the beginning of my blogging journey, is that blogging has always been where I can share with the world my life’s travels, and thoughts on random things. A self expression that I can look back on in later years.

The second reason is that I have realized what a great opportunity blogging is. It has given me the chance to connect and build relationships with other bloggers and readers, not only to learn from them, but to make good friendships as well.

Lastly, what continues to drive me to blog, is it helps me find my voice in writing. Now, I am no professional writer, and if it wasn’t for W. Murdock you would all see how I slaughter the English language. One of my friends, who I have had the pleasure of reading some original short stories from, told me as we were talking, “The best thing for you to do to practice writing, is continue blogging and take an English class or two. The more you practice at something the better it gets.”

Motivations change from moment to moment, but I think my blogs have been there always. It urges me to share with people what I do, and  pushes me to become a better writer. Hopefully through that, I can make some new friendships.

Later Dayz,

-Jordan M. Williams
